Spring Teacher Blogger Retreat 2016

I was so excited to attend my first meet up, and the Spring Teacher Blogger Retreat in French Lick did not disappoint!

Luckily, I only live a little over 2 hours away, so Mrs. B and I got up on Saturday morning and headed towards French Lick. We had just enough time to check in to the beautiful French Lick Springs Hotel and explore the resort before heading to the luncheon. We didn't really know anyone else when we got there, so we picked a table and ended up getting to know some other fabulous teachers!

Completing these letters within our tables and then the super fun teacher tool swap, was a great way to get to know other teachers!

Then, on top of all the fun, we all got amazing swag bags! Swooning over the Astrobrights paper, Vera Bradley bag (with a super cute cat pouch inside), Kwik Stix, pencil grips, Creative Paper Collection cards, Erin Condren notes, and so much more! I am so grateful for all the love from these fabulous sponsors!

Look at all these amazing, happy teachers!

For dinner, Mrs. B and I took the super cute trolley over to West Baden and had dinner under the dome. It was a spectacular view! Also, the trolley ride was fun!

One of my favorite parts of the retreat was definitely the 80s party! I love to dress up, so I had a blast picking out my outfit! Mrs. B needed a little more convincing to go all out with the outfit. I have no problem denying that I already owned everything except the vest prior to this event. The vest was a $4 shirt at Goodwill, and I tore the sleeves off to match my outfit a little better. Except I didn't have any scissors with me, so I was just tearing along the seam, and I unfortunately got off track and ending up tearing the wrong seam. Mrs. B saved the day, though, by grabbing a sewing kit from the from desk!

And there was a LEGIT photo booth sponsored by Go Noodle!

SO. MUCH. FUN! Thank you so much, Go Noodle!

And thank you so much to Holly Ehle for planning this AMAZING event! I seriously don't know how she did it, but I had such a blast and I'm so glad I went!

March Currently

It's March, which means spring (and spring break!) are coming! Hooray!

Listening: I love Netflix. Who needs cable when you have Netflix? I'm currently working my way through Fuller House and Portlandia. Portlandia is so weird, but I'm getting a little more into it as I go.

Loving: I LOVE fresh fruit! Love it! I have been eating raspberries and strawberries like it's nobody's business. I was on a raspberry kick for a while, but now I'm riding the strawberry train. So yummy!

Thinking: I have a lot to look forward to. The teacher blogger retreat in French Lick is in a week and a half and then spring break is just a few weeks behind! I'm so excited for both!

Wanting: I am administering ISTEP to a small group of 3rd graders this week, and I'm ready to get back to my normal schedule. Plus, my poor sub said I had 2 children who were sobbing hysterically half the morning, for various reasons, so she's probably ready for me to be back too!

Needing: We have had some beautiful weather lately! Unfortunately, mother nature is just teasing us, because it's never here to stay. It was 65 degrees on Sunday, and now it's 27 and spitting some cold precipitation. I can't wait until the warm weather is here to stay!

Polling site: I don't think we are a polling site. I feel like maybe we were at one point, but I distinctly remember someone coming to our school trying to vote and we kept trying to direct them to the church down the road. They were very confused.

Thanks for stopping by! Head back to Farley for more fun!
